Why does this problem happen, and how does this tool fix it?

A Buddhist Era year such as 2569 can be interpreted as Gregorian year 2569 and later displayed as 3112 when a Thai calendar format adds another 543 years. Spreadsheet programs may also treat phone numbers and postal codes as integers and discard their leading zero.

How it works and protects your data: The browser tool converts only complete, valid date values in your selected columns, in either BE → CE or CE → BE direction. XLSX output stores every value as text without formulas, preserving leading zeros. CSV remains available but Excel may coerce values when opened by double-clicking.

Frequently asked questions

Why does Buddhist Era year 2569 become 3112 in Excel?

Excel first stores 2569 as a Gregorian year. Applying a Buddhist calendar format adds 543 again, producing 3112. The underlying value must first be corrected to Gregorian year 2026.

How can I keep the first zero in phone numbers and postal codes?

Choose XLSX output to store the value as text without executable formulas. CSV can retain the characters, but Excel may coerce the field when opened by double-clicking.
